![]() ![]() The unofficial editors have some drawbacks among other things, they can't edit every block (M3 for example), they can't see 'Custom HTML' blocks made by the official editor and you can't edit global Site Styles. Everybody is a potential customer after all. ![]() All in all, more people are using Mobirise, which is a good thing. And if they do, they (often) ditch the unofficial things. Most people that make use of unofficial editors haven't bought a package from Mobirise and probably never will. It's obviously working on some people but, I need to be more careful with my money.Īnd again, I don't need a lecture about it. wouldn't be horrible if it was a one time fee but, yearly? And they try to manipulate people into thinking it's a super great deal by showing how much money it would cost to buy them all individually. What mobirise charges for extensions is ridiculous. I don't use ms office, there are free options that are just as good. I've never paid for antivirus software as there's a ton of free programs that are really good. I get that for some people, it's not a big deal but, I'm always looking for the cheapest and free options and, I do not need anyone trying to shame me or others for that. I cut my own hair(for the last 25+ years) don't go out to eat, don't have cable or any streaming services. They COULD very much do things differently but, like every other company out there today, greed wins out. Years ago, companies did just fine selling software without monthly or yearly fees. There is little point in purchasing just one license for "Code Editor" for USD 69.00 annually when you can purchase a license for the entire package with 200 extensions for USD 99.00 on sale several times a year. Creating such software costs a lot of money and this money is made by selling the extensions. Unfortunately, Mobirise has nothing to give away either. Are these still my choices? Yearly fee or out of luck? yearly fees or, you're stuck with unwanted code unless you try to work around it manually. Mobirise seems a really good program, I just get stuck when I look at that one limitation for me. I recently gave elementor and wordpress a try. Now, everything is a monthly or yearly service fee. I remember the good old days(not THAT long ago) where you bought software once and only once. But if I have to pay that year after year. I've said before, if that was a one time thing, I'd probably do it. ![]() In the past, I've just edited the output files with notepad++ to do what I wanted but, sure would be easier to just do it in the program while editing. But, I hate having mobirise mentioned all over the place and, also hate not being able to edit code, for things like placing adsense code where I want it. I've poked around with quite a few website builders and, I haven't found any others that were free and worked as easily as mobirise. Are the fees for all the addons still, a yearly fee? I can't seem to add it to my block's extensions. It's been quite a while since I've looked in here. (PS: I've read and followed the integrated Mobirise code editor instructions for use, but I wind up at the same end point - I don't know how to access the actual code editing function for the block I'm working with. Instructions would be greatly appreciated. I need assistance in what the steps are to access the actual code editor app to work on a block. When I click on the CE app to add it to the block, it just opens to their website home page. My Extensions group opens up - I find my code editor app - and then I'm stuck at this point. When I click on the red circle plus sign at the bottom of the block and then select extensions for the block in question, I select 'Add More' at the bottom. That's all good and I understand it, but since I'm still on the learning curve with Mobirise, I can't seem to add the code editor extension to the block I wish to edit. The community supporter who recommended the code editor explained which code lines I should look for to edit a specific area in a product frame. I want to use it on a newly created StoreM4 site. I downloaded a recommended code editor and imported into me extensions group.
